The estimation of distance and height values in digital images/videos can not be evaluated objectively by visual inspection, due to the acquisition process that takes a 3D scene into a2D image.

For example, it is difficult not only to measure, but also to compare, the height of two persons that are located at different depths in the scene.

FORLAB carries out the extraction of photogrammetric measurements (i.e., the geometrical properties of an object startinf from a photo) by means of software modules allowing to model the geometry of the scene and to remove distortions due to the acquisition process.
